API Reference: Overview

The Authzed API is a gRPC API that provides the basic operations for writing permissions relationships under namespaces and checking those permissions for users and objects.

The Authzed API is accessible at grpc.authzed.com:443 and supports gRPC reflection for listing of the available methods and messages.

To authenticate to the Authzed API, a token must be specified in the access_token field on the gRPC request.

The Authzed API returns and (optionally) consumes Zookies to ensure freshness of calls. It is generally recommended that Zookies be specified wherever allowed, and stored next to objects being Checked.
